The Luminar Group operates the UK’s largest chain of nightclubs. During August Luminar handed out more than 3200 pairs of flip flops to customers leaving its 53 nightclubs as part of a link with the Street Pastors initiative.

Luminar’s chief executive Peter Marks spent a night with a Street Pastors team in Sutton, Surrey, and soon realised what an invaluable job they do.

‘They give up their own time to walk the streets, looking after people who need their support, with anything from making sure they get home safely to finding medical support,’ he said.
