Street Pastors Bible available through new crowdsource website

May 20, 2016 | What's happening?

A new website designed by Hodder Faith makes Bibles available to churches or other organisations that need Bibles but can’t afford them.

The crowdsourcing site is very easy to use – it takes just five minutes to set up an appeal – and then you can share it with all your supporters, friends and family.

Supporters can follow the link and see which Bibles your church or organisation needs and choose which ones they would like to donate. The Bible (or pack of Bibles) will be sent directly to the organisation that set up the appeal within five working days of the donation.

So, for example, if a Street Pastors team wants some Bibles to use themselves or to give away they just need to set up an appeal and let everyone know. Donors could include street pastors themselves or anyone in the churches that support them, from that town or elsewhere.

Street Pastors Bible

The Street Pastors Bible is one of the 20 or so items available on the site alongside other titles from the NIV range that are particularly popular for communal use, from pew Bibles to Youth Bibles, as well as the Gospels and the New Testament.

Merthyr Tydfil Street Pastors have recently bought 25 Street Pastors Bibles and are distributing them in pubs and clubs. The pocket-sized NIV edition, with its specially written introduction and ‘get started’ section uses Street Pastors as a ‘way in’ to the Christian faith.
