Basingstoke’s Street Pastors have received a Community Award from the High Sherriff of Hampshire.
The award is a mark of recognition given to public servants, volunteers or community groups based in Hampshire, who are making a significant contribution to their communities and enhancing community safety and cohesion.
It was presented at the High Sheriff’s Award Ceremony in The Great Hall in Winchester on 2 March 2016.
“This award is a well-deserved recognition of the fantastic work done by a dedicated group of volunteers from churches across Basingstoke, who provide care and support to users of our town’s night-time economy,” said Phil Thomas, chair of the Management Group.
