Dear Rev Canon Les Isaac,
Just a quick message to express my sincere thanks to Wayne Evans and all of the Street Pastors who attend the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells last week. Never before have I worked with such a dedicated and professional team, all of whom gave up their time to help others in Builth Wells.
Although we are yet to have a formal debrief Wayne and his team made a real impact on the town, and on the safety and wellbeing of its visitors. They were able to assist those in need, which enabled a great deal of police and medical resource to be freed up to deal with critical incidents.
I have to say, before last week I was aware of the work of the Street Pastors, but I had never seen it in person myself. Each and every single member of the team was inspirational, and I could not have undertaken the work that they did. Once I have the full debrief report available, I will send it to you for your information.
What I believe is now vital, will be to work with Wayne to ensure a sustainable way forward for Street Pastors in Powys, not just during the period of the Royal Welsh Show, but throughout the year.
Thank you to you all, and I look forward to working with you in the future.
Greg
