Southend Street Pastors has received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

John Simmonds, acting chairperson, commented, “We have patrolled Southend as street pastors for over 10 years and it is great to receive this high recognition from the local community and the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2016. We will continue to go out to help anyone that is or becomes vulnerable in Southend on Friday and Saturday nights. What an honour this is.”
