A new relationship has been formed between Ascension Trust, the governing body of Street Pastors and BMS World Mission. A Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed at Ascension Trust’s headquarters in Morden, Surrey, as an agreement about working together in the training of street pastors for both UK locations and overseas.
Rail Pastors is a prototype initiative within the Street Pastors family that came about at the request of the British Transport Police who offered their support if a patrol “like Street Pastors” could be established on a stretch of the network where there had been a high number of suicide attempts and fatalities.
Volunteers and community helpers in Nantwich were rewarded at the Mayor’s “Salt of the Earth” awards which took place in March 2015.
